application instructions and guidelines

REGISTRATION

1. We are currently accepting all canon characters as well as originals! (However, we very much prefer canon!) If there is a canon HP character that is not on our list that you would like to have added for your use, please PM Boots (James Potter), and we will see to your request!

1 1/2. We are not currently accepting vampires, werewolves, or metamorphmagus. Animagus will be allowed by express permission of Boots. If you'd like to plead your case for any of these options, feel free to PM her! (I'm very open to hear!)

2. Please post in the Canon List using the form provided. Reservations last four days, so please put your application up as soon as possible! APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE POSTED IN THE COMPLETED APPLICATIONS BOARD. YOU WILL HAVE TO START A NEW THREAD.

3. Please title your application thread as "LAST, first middle". EX: "POTTER, harry james".

4. Once you have posted your application, please refrain from posting throughout the site until your application has been accepted. This includes the face claim, plot pages, and sign-ups. We are very timely about seeing to applications, so please do us the courtesy of waiting! Thank you!

5. There is a six character limit, which is subject to change. We ask that you remain active on all of them.

ROLEPLAYING GUIDELINES

1. Posts should be in the third person and in past tense!

2. We expect posts to be of a decent length. This means that all posts should be at least two paragraphs, and paragraphs should have at least four sentences in them. We do not have a word count, but we are literate (300 or more as a benchmark). We expect that you will fill your post with some nice roleplaying, alright?

3. We are rated PG-13 and expect that NO mature roleplaying will take place. There should be no sexual threads on this site.

4. Please try to post in character at least two or three times a week. This keeps the plots on the site moving, and ensures that everyone on the site has a pleasant experience. If a thread has not been posted in for a substantial amount of time, it will be moved to our archives (usually two weeks).

5. Face claims should be of celebrities. Please shy away from Myspace personalities/anime.

6. You are required to have an avatar of your character's face claim. Avatars should not exceed 160x320. Signatures are allowed, but not required. We do ask that you keep your signature to a reasonable size. If it is too large, an admin will send you a PM to gently remind you of this. If your signature is stretching the board, it is too large.

7. Godmoding is an absolute no-no. You may not control the actions of someone else's character.

8. Please use the C-Box respectfully!

9. Please do not post out of character on the roleplaying boards. PMs, the C-Box, and our OOC boards are resources that can be used for such purposes. However, a small notes section is allowed at the end of your post. Many thread templates these days use them.

9. Respect your fellow roleplayers, and try to keep things fun!
