It wasn't the best suit in the world, but Genis liked it well enough. It was comfortable and light weight and it went nicely with his hair. Plus, the shirt brought out his eyes and added color to his outfit. He was ready for the Gala! He fixed his hair happily, humming to himself as he did so. This was going to be a great night!
He wasn't the best dressed student, but one look at Gilderoy Lockhart's outfit as he passed, made the little Ravenclaw feel much better about his own suit the instant he set eyes on him in the corridor. He had to try hard not to laugh at him and just waved and returned the boy's smile. He shook his head as he walked past, "That shirt's loud enough to wake the dead." He muttered to himself with a small giggle and then, passed his friend Lloyd Irving, in a basic, but very nice grey suit.
"Hey Lloyd!" He called, "Nice suit!" and ran to catch up to him, chatting away and walking alongside his friend for a moment, but then, Raine passed by and one look at the glances she was getting from the boys, and Genis' protective nature came roaring to the surface.
"Those ....how ......they.....I'll put them in detention!" Genis snarled but after Lloyd put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head, Genis calmed down a bit. "They were staring at her ass though!" He grumbled, glaring hatefully at anyone who dared look twice at his sister. That ought to teach them!
"She does look nice though." Lloyd pointed out, "Ain't hard to see that. Plus.....I think she likes looking pretty and not like a Professor. You know?"
"Yeah.....I know." Genis said with a sigh and then smiled up at Lloyd, "Thank buddy. Good luck!" and he headed into the Great Hall and after one last glance at his elder sister, he sat down at a table to wait for a good song or to spot someone he wanted to dance with.
